How do I add to my wardrobe?

1) Peruse the various folders and select the items you wish to own.

2) Email nlc@ftmaustralia.org with your wish list and pay the nominal donation*.

3) New Life Clothing will then email you the contact details of the relevant owners.

4) Contact the owner/s and make the necessary arrangements to have the new additions to your wardrobe shipped directly to you.

Who can donate clothing?

The short answer is - anyone. All you need in order to participate is clean clothing of a reasonable standard of quality. When considering whether an item is suitable for the project simply ask yourself whether you consider the item suitable for wearing in public. Whilst people may not be actually paying for the clothing listed on this site they will, nonetheless, be outlaying a donation for each item as well as the cost of postage. Please don’t list anything for donation that you would not be willing to wear yourself.

Having said this, it is understood that we are dealing with pre-loved clothing and hence, some items may have a mark or two. If this is the case, please use the description sheet to highlight any imperfections, eg missing buttons, colour runs, fraying hem lines, etc. Whilst some may be willing to live with such imperfections, others may not. Please remember, this project will only survive through the honesty and good will of all participants.

So what, if anything, am I buying?

First of all, you aren’t actually ‘buying’ anything in the ordinary sense of the word. Rather, you’re making a donation to New Life Clothing and in return for that donation, you will be provided with the relevant contact details for the owner/s of each item of clothing you want.

New Life Clothing is a not-for-profit project and, as such, all monies raised will be fed straight back into the trans-community. Recipients of these donations include organisations such as FTM Australia. If you want New Life Clothing to consider an organisation as a potential recipient please email the appropriate details to Jake at: nlc@ftmaustralia.org for consideration.
